Inspiration to Science - an oil on canvas 80 cm x 101 cm. It's about our journey of discovery and how science is inspired by nature.

I love this. I am a Biologist and I find this image very inspiring. Science is the study of the natural world, but it seems that more and more people are forgetting that. The core meanings of modern science are so easily warped in this age. It makes me all the more ecstatic to see that there are still people who know and see the truth of it.

You're very welcome, your work is inspiring!

Thanks, I would like to work with oil paints someday but I always seem to get it everywhere. What do you use to thin your paint? Or do you?

Hi: I use turpentine/white spirit and always thin it or I get it everywhere too! I also use Liquin to increase the drying time (I am quite impatient and have been known to use a hairdryer as well!) I have a huge collection of rags that see lots of use and Liquin on dry oils make them shine and really make details stand out. I use oil paints on wood panels as well as canvas and just keep experimenting. Acrylics dry much faster and don't need as much thinning so maybe try them as well? Good luck and let me know how you're getting on ok? Best regards as always, Paul Human
